Odd issue thats cropped up in the last couple of weeks. PC is shared between myself as the primary account and my 10 year old son for homework and Roblox. At login the cursor appears, and will remain when he logs in, but will disappear when I log my account in. I can work around this by logging about out to the login screen a few times, after which it will appear on my account also.
The cursor is invisible, but otherwise acts as normal for interactions with Windows and games.
I have:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled mouse drivers and iCue software.
- Deleted a crapload of software installed by my son which his teacher uses on their touchscreen smartboard at school
- On the back of the above software, made sure all tablet/touchscreen options are disabled
- Made sure the ‘remove cursor when typing’ option is disabled
- Changed cursor setting to include trails, contrast and the ‘find me by pressing Ctrl’ option
I’m leaning towards some hidden bits my sons has been messing with, but that doesn’t track as it works fine on his account. Just wondered if anyone else had suggestions? It’s annoying, but not to the “Reinstall Windows” levels. TIA
