So I was courtside tonight at the Garden and it was pretty fucking dope.

Some of the highlights:

• Met Monica McNutt who was super sweet and kind. Told her how much I enjoyed her commentary and that she is always the voice of reason whenever she is on First Take. She asked me my name! She was terrific.

• Ran into Charles Smith and told him wut up lol

• Was 3 rows behind Clyde but way too shy to go up to him. At some point I caught his eye and waved, and he waved back. I’m good with that :)

• End of the game I saw Melo, and after 3-4 drinks in me, I had some liquid courage. Went up to him, told him I loved and appreciated him, and he shook my hand and thanked me. JUST AMAZING Y’ALL!!!

• For anyone who watches/listens to KnicksFanTV, met CP the Fanchise real quick, told him I listened to him and appreciated the work he does. Told him my poster name on his aftershow pods, and he recognized the name! So that was cool.

And ofc we blew out them upstarts by 21, which was awesome. Fantastic night.

I can never imagine spending the kind of dough to sit that close (I’m guessing it was >$2k at least and you probably didn’t go alone) but hearing stories like this makes it tempting next time I have some sort of windfall.

For 800 a pop I got to row 5. It was conveniently by chance directly next to the team’s workout bike. Players (drose, obi) that came on to the bike would give their thoughts on the game and cheered to themselves (“give it to quick !!!to quick!!) and also talked a bit with fans, was awesome.

There was one fan, who was clearly in the know (starks came up to say hi to him) that kept aggressively FaceTiming his children and shoving his phone in their face every 15 seconds (talking 5-10 times) which got a audible “so fucking annoying”

Tickets to like the upper sections are gonna run you 200 for a similar game (this was a good team, vs bad teams they can row 100-150) - honestly, being this close to the court I’ll never forget it, you can hear them in the court, you’re on TV. I would reccomend saving up the money to get close one game rather than going to 5 diff games

To be clear, courtside is still 2.5x more expensive than what I did and a whole other level - just saying, the game is sooo different being closer

That sounds awesome! I actually sat courtside before at Knicks/Spurs last yr. Mitch gave us some love from the scorer’s table and I fist-bumped IQ after the game. This was a different experience bc I was on the celeb side (last time I was right behind the scorers table.) Also nice that it was a blow out for most of the game so I could chill (last Spurs game was much more intense)

      Also - happy cake day!
