What’s the deal with TJ McConnell? Is he washed? I read that Carlisle took him out of their rotation, but considering he’s paid $10m/year and only 31 it seems a bit bonkers that he’s not even getting any run at all.

The only knock on him in my memory was that he’s never been a 3pt shooter, but could reliably just handle the ball and make good passes that’s 66% of the Sixers biggest need right now for our backcourt depth. I appreciate Melton but when he’s not shooting well, his dribble and control are a bit sus.

I was at dinner telling my family about Batum hurting his hand. My daughter misunderstood and said “Porzingis poor fingers”

Not to beat a dead horse, but seeing how Clippers fans are already talking about Harden is killing me

“It still early but yeah agree that he looks suuuper slow and unathletic out there. I didn’t realise he was that sluggish tbh, I thought he had a bit more bounce in his legs but he looks cooked in terms of athleticism. I still have hope he can use his playmaking to help us but his general pace is just so painfully slow right now”

Just features of the system. I was honestly saying the same thing even when he was leading the league in assists last year. It’ll be interesting to see if they can work it out this year but I think Embiid made James’ life a LOT easier last year than he may have appreciated and PG might be the only other superstar on his team whose game actually meshes properly.

It’s also funny that they have to lean on Tucker so much without the benefit of an Embiid/Giannis/Bam manning the paint while he may have healthier legs than 3 of the big 4. Meanwhile the only other scorers are guards who can’t play extensively with Harden and Russ.

I might have to check out more Clippers games for pure schadenfreude.

Recommend the latest ALL NBA podcast. Sixers/Celtics wasn’t the main focus, but they spend a good amount of time in the beginning discussing last nights game and Legler makes some interesting observations.

Dude is absolutely hyped on Maxey and the team in general.

    Bucks are so mid.

Middleton really made all Giannis’s empty stats result in a title, huh?

If the sixers are intent on making the most of the cap room next year, I think they should be intent on getting under the tax apron so they don’t go into repeater tax.

They can still make a move if its equal salary or sixers moving more out, but I think they might need to dump Furkan into someone’s cap space around the deadline to do so.

Tyrese Maxey being as good as he is probably erased any doubt about staying with the Sixers for Embiid, also helps immensely that we have a competent coach now

Wonder how every team and exec “watching the situation closely” feel now, because Embiid asking out is now, seemingly, a far off fantasy

This ones for them and the hungry ass media that was hoping for it🖕🖕🖕

Wild that the sixers only have 3 players signed for next year. Every other team in the league has at least 8 players signed for next.

That’s a lot of potential turnover for the sixers. Imo it also makes it incredibly likely that the sixers will need to hang onto all three of their 2024 pucks (1st and 2 2nds).

Hopefully Terquavion makes a jump in the G league and is signed to the team next year too.

If the Sixers can’t get Caruso for a good price they should look at Tre Jones. He’s the Spurs best ball handler, only 23, but for some reason Pop, who’s senile, won’t start him and is more into tanking instead of trying to win with the number one pick they already tanked for.

Man I wasn’t really expecting much this season but the way the players and coaching staff have come out of the gates, I’m all in. They’re playing the best they’ve played in a number of seasons. I would can the superstar trade idea and try full out the roster with quality role players that will buy in, Embiid is obviously our superstar but I think we’re witnessing Maxey elevate into potential superstardom

If Clippers implode, maybe we can trade for Paul George or Kawaii….
