I’m looking to get a weekend Porsche around $40-$60k, and plan to spend appx $20-25k in repairs, restorations during the winter, and be ready for spring.

Are there any models to avoid? 80’s to 90’s. Any model, interested in thoughts and which may impact value or be used as negotiation tool.

My answer is 997.2 manual… base is perfectly fine, but if you can find an S… even better.

Any Porsche that needs $20-25k in repairs is gonna be a headache.

Any 911 or Boxster/Cayman 2009+ is pretty rock solid and in that price range, without needing a mountain of repairs first.
