I’ve been trying to test my new Mercedes Eqb’s DC fast charging before a road trip this weekend just to make sure it works as expected (100kW). The very first charge I ever did, the soc was around 50% and I got maybe a max of 90kW which was acceptable. However, I’ve tried 6 or 7 level 3 chargers since then, a combination of evgo and EA, and with varying starting SOC from 25% thru 80% and the max I can pull is 50kW, but often stuck at 34kW.

Is my eqb busted? Or is it because every charger I use has broken cable cooling? Seems like a big coincidence if it’s the latter.

Your EQB is fine, it’s the charger. Test at 15 - 20% on a warm day and you will eventually charge at full rate.

For the price of a base model EQB you can get an Xpeng G9 in my country. Which charges at 300 kW and is bigger.
