I know that bm3 will inevitably make it more unreliable but to how much is this?
My 120i is at 80k KMS now and im planning to upgrade intake, metal charge pipe, high flow catted downpipe and bm3.
Im deciding between whether to run stage 1 or 2 at this point

I’d keep it stock and just upgrade to a better car later on. Spending money now for a slight power upgrade while compromising reliability on an older motor is probably one of the worst financial decisions you can make.
Reliability depends on a lot of things but the N20’s in the 320i’s are known to grenade at even stage 1.
