Hello there 🧡
I am taking a leap of faith and decided to start an e-commerce with goods from my home country, Madagascar.
I am going to offer handmade products (bags, table clothes, napkins), hopefully spices packs and natural cosmetics. We also offer sourcing services for B2B.
I just want to get on here and share my experience along with getting pointers at times.
For now, I am working on building my website and finding suppliers. I was thinking of working with existing brands and list their products on my website but it has been proven to be very difficult as they most of the time seem more interested in how much you will make than having a new sales channel.
Everything is very slow, I still need to find information about which products I am allowed to export and if I even need an export licence. I am not even able to get transporters rates before I open my business.
I am positive it could work as we don’t have real concurrents but I’ve got to hang in there.
Any of you already exported products B2C ? (Small quantities sent in individual packages)
Let me know if there is anything in particular that you would be interested in buying and any challenges that you could think of.
Sending light your way! ☀️
