I feel like the Sixers are finally getting ahead of their competition to make a real championship run thanks to Morey’s moves, Nurse’s system, and obviously the incredible improvement of Embiid and Maxey.

It’s felt like for years the team is not as good as the top tier teams, but also we don’t have the assets to load up with more.

Post-Harden trade we seem just as good if not better than last year, and while that may not be enough to win on its own, the other contenders in the East have already shot their wads to get Dame, KP, Jrue, etc. This is the first time the team feels like a contender and we still have moves to make. Feels good!

I am 99% convinced we are better than last year. The main difference is Trading Harden and hiring Nurse. Harden was a very good player 10 years ago but the current version of Harden is not as good. It is difficult for players to excel into their mid 30s but some do like Lebron and Curry. Harden is just not in that group. I can only guess as to why he is not in a class like Lebron and Curry but it would be pure speculation.

He was pretty good even just last season tbh, but inconsistent and lacking burst as he gets older. We got a better haul than expected though, so addition by subtraction worked out. And Nurse is working magic so far.
