I recently started listening to a college football podcast called the Sickos Committee and a few weeks ago they rolled out a new stat called the Second Half Ineptitude Tracker (S.H.I.T.).

To get a S.H.I.T. win you must score all your points in the first half and still hang on to win. According to the data from college football (since 2014) only 12.7% of the time does a team get shutout in the second half and still hang on to win.

The Chiefs managed to do this last Sunday by scoring all their points against the Dolphins in the first half and holding on for the victory.

Now does this mean anything? Probably not but its the bye week and we’re all probably a little bit bored.

All data was taken from this substack article (should be free to view).
