    Because most tried to replicate the “Patriots Way” without Tom Brady. It didn’t work for them, like it doesn’t work for BB.

    Playing not to lose/conservative, trying to add as many JAGs as possible that are your type of player, and trying to be an emotionless spartan douche only works when the whole undertaking is supported by the players.

    Having an unbelievable QB that will cover up pretty much all your mistakes on offense, give time to your defense, and take all your BS and belittling to set the tone is rare.

    All all the things Brady did for BB, at the end, BB didn’t even want to give him just a two-year guaranteed contract. And the last few years, every contract was incentive-based.

    All the BB apologists can’t be mad if Kraft finally treats BB the same way he treated most Patriots legends, including the greatest football player of all time:

    • Teddy
    • Law
    • Wilfork
    • Mankins
    • Gronk
    • Wes
    • Moss
    • Brady

    Not to me ruin players like: Ninko, Jamie Collins, etc.

    Hell, we almost lost Hightower and DMac because of his BS…

    Not just Brady but they didn’t have Ernie Adams. Having a savant as you best friend doing football research for you is quite helpful. Bill hasn’t been the same since Ernie retired

    Because most of them were stuck with poorly run franchises.

    Crennel: Cleveland

    Mangini: Jets, then Cleveland

    Patricia: Detroit

    Judge: Giants (Dave Gettleman era)

    McDaniels: C’mon, He went 8-8 with Kyle Orton as his starting QB. The Raiders have been a clusterfuck for pretty much 20 years now

    Daboll is TBC

    Flores has essentially been blackballed from the league, but he did pretty well in Miami

    O’Brien’s problem wasn’t a bad coach, he was a bad GM, just like his mentor

    None of them had Tom Brady. And he no longer does as well – and has teams that look like his coaching tree teams.

    Because none of the other coaches had the most important part of Bellichick’s model - Tom Brady.

    Because he’s overrated and was blessed with Tom Brady

    Pre-Brady Bucs - Brady Bucs - post Brady Bucs

    Combined with pre-Brady Belichek - Brady belichek - post Brady belichek

    Combined with proof of bad drafting, and horrible legacy coaches proves this

    Tom Brady is WAAAAAY better than most people even think he is. He elevated everything, made other things look good, made up for mistakes etc.

    It seems the issue the article is trying to highlight is that BB’s assistants are too micromanaged to learn how to be a good coach because BB lives and breathes football (Why Tom Brady thrived in the patriots?). BB may just be that good and can be the only person who’s had success with this style of coaching. Also why would he change if having a coaching tree is more something to worry about legacy wise than game to game or season to season? Just get the guys who you’ll know will do their job and win games.

    A Poison Tree

    I was angry with my friend;

    I told my wrath, my wrath did end.

    I was angry with my foe:

    I told it not, my wrath did grow.

    And I waterd it in fears,

    Night & morning with my tears:

    And I sunned it with smiles,

    And with soft deceitful wiles.

    And it grew both day and night.

    Till it bore an apple bright.

    And my foe beheld it shine,

    And he knew that it was mine.

    And into my garden stole,

    When the night had veild the pole;

    In the morning glad I see;

    My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

    -William Blake

    Bill was never a good coach but a good cheater. That doesn’t produce a good coaching tree.
