So you can install Lutris as a non-Steam game and run it in game mode, and it brings up the Itch launcher, you can launch and play in game mode, bind your keys, etc. Is there anything I should know about this - pretend I’m five years old. I’ve tried it out on three games (Poop Killer Origins, Dick Killer, and Boil Noodles at Night - I’ll talk to my psychiatrist about this) and they all work. I’m a little baffled here –
Like:
(a) The games seem to install through Wine, but I can’t seem to get to the directory to try to add the .exe as a non-Steam game. I don’t know if this can be done. The path is c:/users/deck/AppDat/Roaming/itch/apps but that’s a Windows path. But Itch does install files to the drive, unless it’s some kind of virtual drive I don’t understand.
(b) I used the default Itch path it selects for you so that the games are updated. These little games constantly get updated so it’s better to have them actually somewhere where Itch can ‘read’ them rather than just downloading the .zip or .rar (which you can install as a non-Steam game). How do I get there, because if you can install them as non-Steam games, they come with graphic assets you can use the Decky plugin for capsules and heroes.
© Some of these little games actually have save points. Has anyone tried this? If someone knows it would be helpful coz I don’t have access to my Deck right now and am curions.
