It seems like my only option is to wait a day and then pay $2.99 per episode on Apple TV. Any Canadians (:-| |) know where to get a normal paid subscription?

Been in the same situation trying to find it. I ended up sailing the merry seas again to be able to watch it, if you catch my drift.
