I’ve seen a few reviews mention the new Bluetooth chip, but that’s it, no actual discussion on if/how it works.
For me, one of the big annoyances with the current Steam Deck is that if you try to use it as a console with a dock, you can’t wake it with a controller, and in fact it forgets about whatever controllers you paired with it. You have to go through the whole process again – possibly including telling the Deck to forget about whatever controllers it was previously paired with – which is particularly frustrating for local multiplayer games where you need to pair a bunch of controllers.
Ideally, you could pick up a previously paired controller and hit one button that would wake the Deck and switch TV inputs, much like how the consoles work. But honestly I’d settle for just the Deck remembering the controller and waking the Deck, switching TV inputs is just nice to have.
Anyway, has anyone seen a review that discusses this aspect in detail?
