Currently, I’ve two backups of my most important data. One in sync.com cloud storage and the second one in 1tb external harddisk. It’s a Toshiba harddisk that I bought in 2017 and it has been used quite a lot but the crystaldiskinfo is saying that the health of harddisk is 100%. Should I keep using this harddisk for my data backup or get some external SSD like SanDisk extreme or Samsung t7 shield? Which would do a better job of protecting my data?

I could be wrong, but I believe SSDs need to be powered semi frequently in order to keep their state. If you dont plug it in for a few years you could have a blank disk.
