honestly it feels like qp just got worse, especially the matchmaking. almost every game is a stomp or get stomped. leaving penalty doesn’t do anything, just forces players to stay in an unfair game.
also it never happened to me before but i had a game where the enemy team had 2 leavers but no one replaced them, they just stayed 3 until the end.
its just not fun anymore, just because its a casual game mode dosent mean it should be this unbalanced, so many games end with the entire team going 0-10 and the enemy going 10-0.
I just play ranked. I only play QP if I want to practice a hero I’m bad at.
Yeah the leaving penalty makes it worse. For one backfill usually fills in a character with higher elo so that it helps losing team. And second I don’t get pulled into as many games when solo q because ppl aren’t leaving as much. So no trying my ass off to get the comeback dopamine
I enjoy qp 80% of the time…until super saiyan Hanzo and his impossible headshots make me go 4-16. That’s when I turn on Dark Souls because at least it makes sense when I die over and over again.
Yes.
This.
You know, there’s so much wrong with Blizzard.
When the entire team leaves and your game ends, shouldn’t you just automatically be put into a queue that pushes you (and your group) to the front of the queue?
If that sounds too difficult for Blizz, then I think it’s a sign that they lack the professionals needed to adapt to the times.
Heck, YOUD THINK by now we could be complaining about being paired with people that typically play the same hero as you, but we’re SO far from getting there. There’s probably 100 things that 1/2 this community could convince me needs to come first.
I definitely have noticed quickplay feeling significantly worse lately. The SBMM mustve been fuckin cranked. Thats my best guess at least.
A little side rant, but you know what I hate most about quickplay? People treat it like comp man. I have been a tank main for several years now, and I recently decided to start learning doom cause he’s fun and is pretty good rn. Where do I play him? Quickplay of course, you know, the casual playlist?
What do I get when I play him? “Doom sold, tank diff, lmao uninstall doom, swap or I wont heal u” constant toxicity, no matter how many times I have tried to explain I am still learning the character. I understand wanting to win, but cmon man where else am I supposed to learn him? Aim trainers dont teach me game sense, deathmatches dont teach me how to play versus a team, there is no place where you can learn characters outside of quickplay, so it’s fucking baffling to me how toxic people can be to people who are clearly trying to learn/get better with a specific character, or even the game itself.
I find I end up a lot of the time with a team of 2 or 3 noobs against a skilled team. Or I’m on the skilled team and then someone joins the other team and suddenly it’s a bloodbath.
It’s very rare I feel like it’s a balanced experience for both sides
Hard agree. At this point I may just play strictly mystery heroes so I can have more fun AND play characters I usually wouldn’t. No one can yell at you for who you’re playing because it’s random.
I’m so fucking tired of being put in gold and plat lobbies. Hell, I even get the occasional silver. It’s exhausting. I like higher ELO games, I like when people understand their role and the overall dynamic of phases during fights. I loathe the team deathmatch approach people play in lower ELO games. MOST OF ALL, I HATE THAT NO ONE REGROUPS IN THESE GAMES, IT TAKES ZERO SKILL TO BE PATIENT
