Hello, how are you, as the title says, returning from an EV to a gas car, what was the feeling? In 2021 I bought a Chevy Blazer RS and I really liked it. In July of this year I got a 63kwh Nissan Ariya for my girlfriend and she didn’t like it at all, so I had to give her my blazer and take the Nissan and I enjoyed it a lot. I have 3k miles, when I drove my blazer again the I feel like it’s a 1990s wagon, someone else has felt something like that or is it just me. Looking for an EV to replace my blazer I think.

Driving an ICE after driving an EV I feel like it’s so inefficient and dirty, especially when you have your foot off the pedal and you are still burning gas, or just sitting there with it on, you get 0 miles per gallon. Oh yeah, and filling up at the gas station with a $50 bill, yuck.

Any time I have a rental ICE from some legacy manufacturer, I experience precisely what you describe: a feeling of stepping into the past. The throttle lag, the rumbling vibration, the overwhelming clunkiness, the crappiness of the software and infotainment, the frustrating need to start, stop, and manually lock/unlock the car, the need of keyfobs, etc.

Yeah , it’s a bit like going back to an Atari after switching to an Xbox - muscle memory isn’t gone but feels clunky.

Well, if your girlfriend likes the gas Blazer, maybe she’ll like the electric Blazer.

Everytime I go back to an ICE vehicle for whatever reason, I feel like I’m driving a dinosaur. Which, I guess is kind of true? Or at least burning one.
