What needs to happen for him to retire a bronco? Superbowl win? A couple of good seasons? What do y’all think?

I think a Superbowl win and he 100% retires as a bronco like PFM. Could even be less than that but I don’t know.

Russ is a bronco by contract only. He’s not been accepted by the fan base (who can blame them) nor has he really adopted the city as his.

Unless he goes on a miraculous journey of unbelievable performance for 2-3years that results in playoff victories and at least a Super Bowl appearance (because that’s the kind of cap he’s been committed) then he will never embolden himself to the fans. He is far more likely to be cut than to retire as a bronco. If he is cut then I’m guessing he will be immediately offered a 1 day sign and retire contract to retire a seahawk which is his true identity.

He would need to go above and beyond and have several playoff runs. I’m in the minority, but I like Russ, and I truly do think he came here with the idea of buying in. But I also don’t necessarily think management is sold on him as our future. He needs to go out there and be the playmaker he was with Seattle and earn his love.

Let’s make the playoffs before we even talk about keeping the guy in the first place. Because unless we make A RUN and I mean A RUN like afc Championship game AT THE very least No one and dones I think he is gone in march…
