I have nothing against Phreak. Loved him as an e-sports caster. But honestly, where do his ideas come from? I can’t ping my teammates “Zed - Respawning in 19sec” so my team doesnt start drake. Can not communicate “Brand R - Ready” so we can combo ultimates. I lost countless games because of not being able to communicate with my team because pings are limited. It is even more strange it happens on a team based game. Yea but lets forget about that an buff K’Sante, who is broken since his release!
Is Phreak actually responsible for any of the ping changes? I’d imagine those are handled by the Player Behavior Team or something, and Phreak is just commentating on and defending the work of his other coworkers.
Yeah, who would have known the eSports Caster with a massive fucking Ego, biased Opinions, no previous Game Design Experience, who only looks at Data (that he likes) and bases every Change on that, completely ignoring Context (that he does not like) and Common fucking Sense (that he lacks) having Power over Game Balance would be a bad Idea?
I doubt Phreak is responsable for Ping Changes (those were made by Random Employees who don’t do much all Day but wanna keep their Paychecks) but he’s certainly responsable for pushing the Narrative that they were a good Change.
I’ll get downvoted but Phreak is one of the Reasons I’ve decided to not return to League.
I dont get what you need 10 pings for that cant be communicated in 3, from the last twitter thread i saw about it half the comments were threatening phreak and his family, im sure the only people who were hurt by this were the toxic part of the community.
What are you? Silver? Phreak is infinitely more knowledgeable about this game than you are. You’re in no position to even think about whether or not he’s fit for his role. You making a reddit account was a massive mistake.
