Dave2D’s latest video showed a good point I wasn’t thinking about during my excitement for the OLED announcement: the etched glass dulls the OLED pop and black levels. So it seems, the cheaper revised version is actually the better option. I wish the limited edition didn’t have the etched glass now. What do you folks think? Still getting the top tier?
You can still buy a limited model and just put a protective glass cover to fix that, though.
Adding the clear coating protector improves the contrast, but doesn’t completely fix it.
