I used to play PC games exclusively (7 years ago), but eventually got tired of tweaking the settings to get a game to work on my laptop or get the best performance. I moved over to PlayStation land because there is none of that; plug the disc in and play.

I am thinking of getting a steam deck and am wondering if it’s as simple as starting up the game and just playing, or if most games require tweaking with settings to get them to work?

Also wondering if the settings have to be messed around with the dock to get the best TV settings? Am curious what people’s experiences with the dock have been.

Depends. Little bit of tweaking and I just got Sensua to run at 60fps through 95% of the game. Usually YouTube will have someone who’s done the testing to find the best specs.

ProtonDB is your friend and cryobytes does a ton of deep dives on YouTube to get the most out of your games. Got my ff13 running so smooth its crazy
