Starfield. It’s probably the best “muck around doing random stuff while completely ignoring the plot” open RPGs ever made. In every other Bethesda game I would always beat it first, then go back and do all the random stuff. In Starfield, doing random stuff *is* the game to me.

Cyberpunk 2077 got a lot of hate sure but looking back at it now all that hate made it stronger as a game

Pokémon BDSP. There was literally nothing wrong with it except for the artstyle, and having nothing new.

It’s a great one. I def don’t think the hate it gets is warranted at all. I actually hit max rank in that game!

Halo 5 I beat once and never came back to tho.

Death Stranding. Very trivial reviews when the game came out saying it was a glorified walking simulator but completely ignoring the dense story telling and game world. Keeping on keeping on.

Lately it’s Lords of the Fallen. I see a ton of bashing but it’s probably my game of the year, maybe second only to Armored Core Vi

Assassins Creed Valhalla. I agree that it was very long, but I enjoyed it. More recently Starfield… I’ve put at least 200+ hours into it and I’m still having fun.
