Hi, my linksys router (around 5 years old) had been intermittently disconnecting for the past few weeks, and I have tried multiple solutions including changing channels and resetting the router but to no avail. After checking that my ISP was working fine (through a hotline call), I figured that it was probably caused by the router.
I am thinking of getting a tplink archer ax55 ax3000 to replace my current router. As I am currently living in a 3-storey property, I require extenders to make sure that wifi is available on the 2nd and 3rd floor. As such, I was considering if I should also get tplink’s one mesh wifi extenders or just stay with the non mesh (wa855re) that i currently own.
I am confused regarding the differences between the two, and personally I wasn’t able to connect the wa855re successfully as the use of this extender would cause my lan cable connection (connected to my desktop pc) to become very very slow, at almost unusable speed. Would the use of onemesh solve this issue?
(i have contacted the helpline regarding this but the solution offered wasn’t helpful…)
Thank you so much jn advance and I really do hope to solve this issue soon…
