They literally just played each other directly in a head-to-head matchup, best NA team vs best EU team. NA won. It wasn’t even close. 3-0. The discussion is over. I see a lot of EU fans talking about who gets beat up by koreans harder, like bro 1) it doesn’t matter and 2) one region may have 13% wr against koreans and the other might have 15%. These might not be the exact numbers but my point is both suck. End of story. It’s a negligible difference, and both are basically equally shit against them. So why does all of that even matter? My brother in Christ, NA and EU LITERALLY PLAYED AGAINST EACH OTHER. NA kicked EU’s ass. Is that not the spirit of direct, head-to-head competition? To decide which team is better?

Why are people still discussing NA vs EU like there’s a rivalry? EU were never good against korean teams. It was G2 a few years back, and G2 just got 3-0’d by NRG. NA is currently the better region.

    I personally don’t care about the rivalry it’s super cheap because both regions can’t compete with the east.

    I only have a dislike of NA because of the EU players that leave their region for NA and become pay check stealers. I don’t hate the regions. I just hate the players.

    EU would be much healthier if NA wasn’t an option for EU players, but for ~5 years whenever a player is having performance issues and is risking getting replaced they just run off to NA. it infuriates me. If these players fought for their spot the region wouldn’t be just G2.

    I can go into why NA importing so many spots is also bad for them, and why TL in particular ruined the LCS by importing so much, but it would be a long post. For a shorter version, just look at NRG this year and how good they are compared to other NA teams.

    NA is the better region by far. Which is sad considering EU has better ping by a mile and in general lives within 200 miles of one of the TWO servers that are a literal 2 and a half hour drive from each other. It is very telling that none of the EU players come to NA and climb challenger. They are to busy being french or racist.
