Guys, is official. We need a bunch of trades!
Lots of…
We need to trade a lot of guys from this sub. There are just to many guys around with strange expectation, who spread a lot of negativity. They even suggested trades for the magic core players, young guys who deliver above the expectations - even when obviously in a slight slump.
Can you believe the young core is on a .5 while clearly some core players have bad nights? Incredible. Can you believe there are"fans" who want to dismiss a coach, who invented a great culture and made it possible the this group of players deliver one of the top notch defense of the entire NBA, defense which usually need a good bunch of vets to be this elite.
And while the team had a rough time, making mistakes you expect from young teams, is in a slump, not as good in sync as it could be - so basically in a situation where they need the feeling that someone has their back, that’s where those discussion arise.
Yes, understandable to a point. But I’d love to see that more guys here trust the development and they say fuck off to close lost games. The team read here as well, and it must be frustrating for them to read here.
So, I shout out to the whole team. I’m proud of what you delivered so far, and I will be even more proud when you guys have your first play off game in as spring 2024! I believe in you guys!
So dear Orlando magic team (including staff): Thank you for entertaining me and thank you for your though work!
Rookie deals move pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss your entire development. It’s the NBA circle of life. Rookies are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. Trades do exist because… They must do, or do not, there is no try.
We do need a pg that can shoot though, maybe like a tyus Jones
These posts are even more annoying than the overreaction posts. You’re acting like the players come on this subreddit and scroll through our post game threads immediately after the game. As a fan it’s completely normal and honestly expected to be disappointed over yet another close and very winnable game being decided by poor execution down the stretch.
It’s pretty normal to be angry about bad plays, it’s pretty normal to be furious about missed rotations, is pretty normal to argue about better strategies. It’s pretty normal to be disappointed.
I don’t think it’s normal to want to fire guys who compete this hard. At least I think this behaviour simply sucks. It’s like kids throwing away their toy, because they see something more shiny. Or a boss fire employes and not trying to make them better.
Everyone who ever did some team/ball sports knitted you have stretches where simply nothing can go right. I hope the guys shows loyalty to the team, and therefore I think fans should show some loyalty in bad times. And no, this team is not responsible for 13 bad years.
And yes, I’m pretty sure young guys browse social media. At least in other pro sports they do that (soccer). And I would be glad if this fanbase would show more love. The"good weather fans"… well… No need to explain further I assume.
Hey man. You’re on Reddit. What do you expect?
also trades cant even happen really for another month
This guy right here is the biggest reason we’re losing. He just loves losing so much. Making an excuse every year for it. And the front office knows it.
