Hello boys & girls, I have a question and I’m getting a lot of conflicting information. I just received my engine from the machine shop. I’ve been doing some research on the rod bolts. Can I reuse them? Ford FSM says to replace but they literally say that about every other bolt. I consulted with a master tech at ford and said when they do rebuilds they reuse the bolts. This was a brand new engine that failed at 12000 miles due to another shop dropping a spark plug in to the engine from stripped threads and destroying a piston and cylinder head.
