Quick properly gets slammed here and really embarrassed himself during the Dame Saga. But he was all we had for Blazers coverage in The Athletic. There has not been a single Blazer-centric article in it for weeks, other than team press releases on the Scoot and RWIII injuries.
When I subscribed, it was on the promise that I would get beat writer coverage on my teams - Blazers, SF Giants and 49ers. They do OK on the last two but suck on the Blazers. Did Quick leave or is this just the New York Times cutting costs? Pretty sure this wouldn’t happen to the Knicks or Nets.

The only person doing regular quality reporting right now is Highkin, he’s obviously biased towards the team but the Rose Garden Report is a good read and you get good insight on the players and behind the scenes.
Ditto this, Highkin is the way to go! The Athletic is lame now, especially for PNW sports. if they didn’t always bend over backwards when I try to cancel, I would have been long gone. But for $20 a year, I’ll stay…. For now.
