The overreaction in this sub tells me we’re mostly composed of teen fans, and also trolls.
People need to consider a lot of factors about last night’s game that we shouldn’t be upset about at all.
#1 We played the current NBA championship team that is already in mid season form. For a team with new personnel keeping up with them in the beginning of the second half is encouraging!
#2 Our championship team in 2020 got blown out by the clippers too their first game, so I wouldn’t take yesterdays L as an intimidating foreshadow of this team
#3 It’s Game 1…. I’m sure management and staff had this marked as a scheduled loss and were not going to risk Bron and AD to go hard and get injured. Denver was playing very fast so the opportunity cost of this win was too high to risk a possibility of injury
#4 I’m confident this team will pick up a lot of wins this season. We will definitely fare up against Phoenix with our size difference and their ball dominant style of play, and the rest of the league. The nuggets are a bad matchup to us, but we have a whole season to figure it out
Go Lakers and enjoy the season folks. Give it a few games before our role players shine. The fact that y’all expected everyone to go for 20+ points last night is seriously unrealistic expectations
I agree about over reacting should stop, but we need to observe what our mistakes were. There were defensive mistakes, still flaws offensively and two man games that werent going well.
It was a wrong approach coaching wise. We used the same line up against the same line up that we used during the WCF. AD vs Jokic wont work anymore. We need someone to just guard Jokic and let AD play. If they want LeBron just come off the bench if they are doing this playing time management on him. I rather let AD play forward than center. I thought the purpose of getting those 2 bigs on summer is to utilize them like Howard and McGee. Coach Vogel made Nurkic look great last night. Vogel is better coach with bigs. #SameHamPockets
