Tried to order a steam deck back plate from ifixit to deliver in Canada and got an error message saying:

Valve parts may only be shipped to addresses in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Well, bummer. I need to get a replacement back plate for my SD and I wanted it to be an original piece.

Anyone know if this is an ifixit thing or a valve thing? and if I can get an original backplate from somewhere else in Canada (Ontario).

Not being able to get new, official replacement parts it’s a big letdown. Specially if I wanted to get the OLED version in the future, repairability is a big deal for me.
