So there’s the research paper floating around the internet that indicates aggression towards girl gamers is almost exclusively from low skill male gamers. The theory was that these males have the most to lose from including girls in games and so they act aggressively to “maintain” The hierarchy.
My thought is, what if teabagging and other forms of poor-gamesmanship are also a skill issue? Just as aggression to girls maintains the hierarchy temporarily, what if these behaviors temporarily improve their position within the hierarchy.
