Before trade, we struggled vs teams with bigs. After trade, now we struggle vs teams without bigs too.
People are blaming one player lol the issue was the defense you cant put this on kawhi, or pg or russ or harden who cares about the offense when you let the mavs basically score 80 through 2 quarters?
Traded literally every bench piece they had just so they could have yet another ball-dominant player in his 30s in the starting lineup #lol
What’s norms on/off numbers for the season so far? Cause it feels like every second he’s on the floor we are getting blown the fuck out
Kawhi and Harden actually looked really good to start this game. When both subbed out we were up 10 or 12. Then PG and the second unit proceed to get absolutely bullied and we’re down 20+ before Kawhi and Harden come back. You give any nba team that kinda momentum and confidence, it’s always gonna be tough to come back. Even worse when that team has two elite scorers like Luka and Kyrie - becomes near impossible so unfortunately the game was over before the second quarter even finished.
I have hope that PG won’t suck thaaat much going forward and that we can make some trades to help balance out that second unit with front court depth (maybe we even use Kobe and Plumlee when healthy).
The most worrying thing is that Zu still continues to get played off the court against good teams, so fingers crossed any trades can provide us an alternative style big man as well.
Overall, was nice to see harden and Kawhi make some improvements

I feel like the team is the Hulk the last few movies where he just can’t stay Hulk full time, it happens in spurts.
When they go full Hulk, the ball is flowing, they’re attacking with purpose, ala the first qtr.

P.S: I think Harden is fine on the offensive. A huge improvement from Powell/any of the 3&D guys. His defense is spectacularly poor though. Still, that’s not the main reason for the shitshow.
Welp nothing changed after the last 2 games, and that ugly stretch of fouling compounded their continued turnovers and lack of shooting, pushing the team over the edge to complete mental collapse.
