I thought Bedard’s take on F & M about Bill’s contract was interesting and right on the money.
Basically he said that it appears Kraft has given Bill the final “golden parachute” contract that they (He and Bill) never gave to Brady.
Even just after winning Super Bowls Bill wouldn’t give Brady that final benefit of the doubt/thank you for your service contract to get him over the line and retire a Patriot.
Both of them, I would say, deserved those deals even if their performance had or could slip because of all they did for this organization. It’s just disgusting and so ass backwards that they refused Brady that privilege and gave it to Bill. In many ways, where this franchise is right now can all be traced back to that one decision…
I heard that yesterday it was spot on. The craziest part too is Brady only wanted a 2 year commitment and they wouldn’t give him more than 1. Kraft and BB literally let Brady walk over 1 year guaranteed …a guy who had brought the team to 9 Super Bowls.
