History shows in the nba that when a lot of talent is joined together, it almost neeever works in the first season. You see it all the time with the Lebron heat, Nets, Mavs getting Kyrie last year, current bucks team likely going to struggle with Dame and even the Timberwolves to a certain extent last year. For the teams that stayed together, they were significantly better in their second year (Timberwolves seem to be figuring that out now). An exception to that is the warriors when they got Durant but were already a 73-9 team before him.
My worry is that we may see that same pattern with Harden and any further trades we make for our front court. I have no doubt we will improve as a squad and figure a lot out - but we may not completely hit our stride and have a chance at our ultimate goal until next year(if they stay). This is obviously dangerous considering that our core is already made up of aging players who may be on the decline.
Let’s hope I’m wrong and we find a way to do it this year but the history of the nba has for sure got me worried!
Nah, what harden needs to do isn’t that complicated. This 10 game sample shit Is annoying, before the trade anybody with a brain knew all 4 of them out there starting wasn’t going to go well, and when we know health is going to be an issue it’s annoying to have to sit through this shit.
I feel bad for kawhi man.
