Hi, I was recently recommended to come to the subreddit for help and this is my first post here!! I am 14 and getting my first car, it’s a old car I’m being given by my grandmother from my late grandfather, it’s old, dusty, crust and musty, which means that I need (want to) fix it to my best abilities.

The issue is like to start with is interiors, the interior of the car is frankly, disgusting. It was originally an olive green color but somehow turned navy blue? And I don’t like that, it’s also missing the back seats. I’d love to change the interior to a nice black color (no leather or pleather) and I was looking for some recommendations?

I don’t have any tools just yet so I’m looking for help with those too, if there’s a better subreddit for this please mention it in the comments or pm me, thanks for any and all help!

Car is a Chrysler town & country, year 2002, V4 engine. (Sorry if I’m not specific enough, and sorry if spelling or formatting is bad.)

Harbor Freight is a great place to build up a starter tool set.

I’m going to give you this one little tip. If you are having weird electrical issues (instrument cluster randomly resets, etc), check the ground connection to the engine fuse box.

I owned two of these vehicles, they both had this issue at about 120k miles.
