Hey everyone! There’s a group of us that flew in from Canada for our first Seahawks game, and we were wondering what the tailgating situation is like. Any recommendations for first timers? Any must-dos before the game?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
There really isnt a tailgate like most other stadiums do with their large parking lots. But when you arrive and see the hawks nest, over to the right, theres a large alley way that leads to TMobile stadium and there are plenty of places to get tailgate like foods, otherwise go to a restaurant or bar near by. Or head over to pike place for some good seafood and excellent chowder.
This year ill be going to the fatshack (never been) in pioneer square, a couple minutes north of the stadium, unless people don’t recommend it, prior to the Eagles 125pm game to get filled up!
Fellow Canadian who had been to a dozen or so games. The tailgating I’ve been to in Seattle is not like in other cities, it’s more walking around the stadium and trying the local vender food and getting amped up with other fans and a lot of SEA fandom. In other cities it was more communal, there were hundreds of fans out bbqing, frying and making amazing food to share and less about SEA VS the other team.
I usually will hit up a bar earlier and get a good buzz going then head down and enjoy the atmosphere pre game with other fans.
