my city only has a top division (actually the only division) women’s team, and they disband every once in a while

    Yes, and a very good one, relative to the population. Not every 50k town in the middle of nowhere has a team that has beaten AS Roma, Celtic, AZ Alkmaar and Besiktas.

    My city has AlAin fc. They were pretty big when I was little and won the Asian champions league.

    Cambridgeshire

    Two professional, Peterborough United and Cambridge United who are both in League One.

    Almost every town in the county has a semi pro team and there are several in both Peterborough and Cambridge. Many of them now have women’s teams as well, but most are still amateur.
