I’ve just picked up a Fiio BTR3k, I love it. But, the volume out of the 3k compared to even my laptop is way less. I don’t listen to music loud, usually 65% MAX, but I can comfortably listen to my 7hz Salnotes zero at 85% out of the Fiio. The same goes with my Grado 60x’s. The btr3k gives a noticeable bump in sound quality, especially with the zeros and the convenience is amazing. Does anybody know why this is happening?
You need to change the settings. You have to use a phone and the FIIO App. Turn in high gain and high impedance options and it will fix your problems. I had the same issue with the KA3.
