Can I using a power strip on my ups

I looking to buy an APC Easy UPS BV 1000VA in order to have my PS5 attached to because lately we are getting a-lot of power surges so I wanted something to give me time to close the console before anything happens. But the power outlet is not near my tv so I have been using a power strip to connect my PS5, tv and the controller charger stand. My question is does the ups still work if my PS5 is attached to it using a power strip,
