I’m not sure what extension Quickley wanted and what the Knicks were offering. It seems some executives think he’s worth 20M/year. If Utah offers 4/$120M or something, should the Knicks just let him go? What’s the max you think the Knicks should be willing to match?

I feel like if the answer is below 30M a year, Knicks should look to trade him before the deadline. Perhaps package him with RJ Barrett and picks for something, or just trade him for several FRPs. I think it’s too risky to let him walk.

When will this sub learn that you can’t make a competitive NBA team out of guards < 6’4"?

IQ is an amazing player but we need to save money so we can get a quality addition to the frontcourt.

Is there some reason we can’t do a sign and trade? I don’t see getting that much for him if he’s only got a half a season left on his contract. If we can sign and trade then he’s definitely part of a big trade for a star, or picks if that doesn’t work
