It can still deal 60 damage and last the same duration against everyone, but instead preventing healing entirely, it instead prevents healing over the targets current health value. This keeps its effectiveness against low health targets intact while making it less effective against high HP targets like tanks.
Example 1: Ana splash a 150 HP Tracer with it, and she takes 60 damage. Tracer’s maximum health is now 90 HP for the duration of Ana-Nade.
Example 2: Ana splashes a 400 HP Sigma. Sigma’s maximum health is now 340 HP for the duration of Ana-Nade.
Example 3: Ana splashes a 200 HP Sigma. Sigma’s maximum health is now 140 HP for the duration of Ana-Nade.
Ana-Nade will still be used to secure kills against low HP tanks and squishy heroes, but it won’t be as effective against full health tanks. This makes it less frustrating to play tank, where Ana-Nade is often thrown at them on CD regardless of their current health pool. This also reduces the frustration of supports who have their main utility disabled entirely by the current iteration of Ana-Nade. They can still heal the targets to their new max HP threshold, but not over it.
