After years on a laptop I’ve just recently bought a good PC with rtx4070, installed Arch Linux and have been finally able to enjoy Stray and Outer Wilds in good quality and without lag. But I am looking for other 3d games to try, any ideas? Something that runs on Linux with proton at least, of course.

My favorite games so far: Hollow Knight, Celeste, Ori 1&2, Stray, Getting Over It, Lone Fungus, Rainworld, Tunic, Terraria. As you can see I really like Metroidvanias, and basically anything with free exploration.

    My favorite games I played this year are both great looking although not the most recently released: Cyberpunk and Red Dead Redemption 2. I only played at 1440p but still.

    Just to be clear: I’m looking for games with a lot of exploration, with large worlds, not necessarily extremely hard ones. I already have Nier:Automata in my wishlist for example. I don’t want to “push the GPU to its limits” (it’s already doing that with blender), but rather to discover a genre that I have never played before. If I go into Elden Ring without any previous experience, I’ll get killed immediately lol.
