Zaslav needs to go,the man has no plan on what the fuck he is doing.

Sure, look at Gotham Knights and its overwhelmingly positive response. Clearly that’s the way to go with all franchises.

And all that i wanted is Mad Max 2, and not some live service bullshit. The first game was amazing.

David Zaslav is the Jim Cramer of media management. Constantly making bad decisions but somehow fails upward.

If you read - it basically says that Zaslav was surprised by how well Harry Potter and MK1 did in terms of sales. His probably biggest annoyance is that WB Games is underproducing enough titles because they have such a vast library of content. So he is thinking - Why aren’t we making more Matrix/GoT/DC video games when they have such high ROI

He is also wanting to expand the lifecycle of video games. Instead of Harry Potter being a 1 and done title - he is looking to explore the lifecycle of the game so players will spend more time on the platform, encouraging them to spend more. But this can only really be done if the game is good - as we’ve seen live service games just fail way to often.

Overall - as with most of Zaslav announcements - I am torn. On one hand I am excited because this means more video games from franchises I want to live in. I mean, I would love a Game of Thrones game. But on the other hand - I fear that this will be some F2P bullshit game with lousy graphics and tons of in game monetization options.

One of the benefits of Zaslav is he does follow through and he does put capable people in charge to execute them.

We are entering his Reign and we will see if the direction of MAX will be a good one.
