Swapped components into a new case and now my hard drive isn’t booting.
I have a MB and CPU that are only a few years old and SSDs, and the only component I changed was my GPU, otherwise it’s the exact same set up just transferred over. When I restart my computer I can enter bios or the boot menu and see my hard drive as an option. When I select it as default and reboot, it’ll go to a black screen with “reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key” on it. I’ve managed to get to a blue screen with something to the effect of “this computer needs to be repaired”. Seems odd because I literally transferred everyone from a working computer, the only thing different might be where I plugged in the SATA cables on the MB. I’ve reset my CMOS, reseated RAM, tried booting with my old GPU, made sure all the PSU cables are plugged in tightly…any other ideas will be appreciated. I don’t really have a way to verify the SSDs aren’t corrupted, but they were literally working an hour before I swapped everything over, find it hard to believe they’d shit the bed by just swapping them.
