Imo, quality on the 991 is a good bit better than 997. That alone kinda swayed me to the 991 and the sound of the 991 is noticeably better than the 997 even with aftermarket help. I was set on buying the 997 but when the market went up on them, I started having second thoughts on paying the amount the market was commanding so I think the 991 is the better value.
