Terrible game alla round outside of a handful of standouts.
Lamar had a bad day. Under constant pressure from our tackles looking like JV players most of the game.
Defensive line was sluggish too. Cleveland was playing with two backup tackles and we couldn’t get much pressure which was frustrating.
Special teams sloppy again.
Coaching goes to all of the penalties. This is just anecdotal but I feel like we’ve had a ton of penalties this season. Like an unusual amount. Clean that shit up.
But it was a weird game we had a very real chance despite all of that. Lamar doesn’t doink it at the end and it’s a close win. I dunno. Just feel like after the first quarter Cleveland wanted it more and it showed. When they had that 10 min sustained drive with mostly run game success I knew we were in trouble. They had us on the ropes a that point.
It was a close game. Cleveland has a good defense clearly. Their d line is probably the best in the league. I think you gotta blame our entire team for the loss. Everyone shit the bed. Tucker getting his kick blocked. Mitchell not being utilized and monken spamming HB up the middle with Gus. Lamar had a crap pick. Missed a couple deep throws and held the ball a little long. Everyone just needed to be a little better.
Good news is we can redeem ourselves Thursday night and probably end the bengals playoff chances with a win. A loss there and we are in trouble.
Both sides of the line got dominated, especially if you take into consideration, that the Browns Oline was not missing like 3 starters. But I saw so many Ravens players sitting on the ground while passrushing yesterday
Mike Macdonald. He can’t still can’t figure out how to get his defense to hold onto late leads, especially against good teams.
