Anyone has got out of charge on the road or commuting? How did you solved the issue? How often this occurs? I thought this should never occur but knowing we all ran out of gas sometime or seeing people with electric car trying to fill up at gas station… everything is posible.

Never ran out but maybe that’s just because of the supercharger advantage. Upside is, if you run out of electrons, you’d almost have to try not to find electricity close by.

I’ve never ran out of gas or out of charge, but I’ve come really close a couple of times because dumb reasons. I’ve also had “range anxiety” with a gas car a couple of times, because dumb reasons.

A guy with towing service here locally told me they haul “a lot” of EVs that ran out of charge. I have no idea what he meant by that. Maybe he meant that it happened once or twice and, those stupid electric cars, you cain’t go nowheres in 'em, har har! Or. . . Maybe it does actually happen more often, and the folks who did it really don’t want to talk about it on Reddit, who knows? My little town being roughly 70-100 miles away (depending on your direction of travel) from any public charging stations might have been a factor too.

My BMW was horrible, sometimes 1/4 tank was out, others it was not. Toyota Camry was pretty good, only stuck once.

Teslas are on the other side. I tire of the nags and “head to this charger at 50 mph” nags when I have a different plan. Anyone who runs out in a Tesla is just not paying attention.
