Most people took him in the 1st or 2nd round, yet he’s averaging less than 13 PPG in PPR. Even with the cowboys having a great offensive showing this year, he fails to produce. Cowboys won 49 - 10 against the giants and pollard only managed 55 yards (5.5 fantasy points). Rico Dowdle, the 3rd string was able to get 79 yards and a TD (13.9 fantasy points. Pollard may be the biggest bust this year and surely does not prosper when the cowboys offense is cooking.

I continue to not understand what on earth the Cowboys are thinking with their usage of Pollard.

Instead of the roles where he was electric last year – usage similar to Ekeler – they only ever give him runs up the gut. Most of the time he’s in there it’s to block and then stand 4 yards in front of the line of scrimmage, where Dak never ever ever ever looks his way.

What’s the point of even putting Pollard there if Dak isn’t going to throw it to him? Nobody bothers guarding him because they know Dak won’t look at him.

I honestly wonder if the issue is Dak Prescott’s heght. He’s listed at so-called 6’2 but if you’ve met Dak in real life you know he’s more like 5’11. It’s possible he just can’t see over his blockers to see that Pollard is wide open right in front of him. At any rate, Mike McCarthy should have learned by now that this is a problem and stop having Pollard do this.

Look at what the Steelers are doing with Najee as an example. They were just shoving him up the middle for 2 yards at a time before the bye. Now they’re doing more creative play calls and all of a sudden he’s been an RB1 in 3/4 games since the bye.

Rico Dowdle looks like he provides more juice at this point.
