Every single new car is coming with big screens everywhere, am I missing something, online every single reviewer, commentor, reporter, etc all say they absolutely despise big screens and prefer buttons.

But then Ford for example said that their focus groups for the new Mustang overwhelmingly favored big screens(in the savagegeese mustang review)… is this just a thing where enthusiasts are just the vocal minority, or do most people really dislike big screens, and car manufacturers are just doing it to cut costs?

Depends on the enthusiast. My take: I like well integrated screens. Laptops glued to your dashboard is lazy and ugly imo, its the biggest thing I dislike about my M240i. I think large infotainment screens that are integrated smoothly with your dashboard is good, sometimes great if its a good system. I’m a big fan of the new F150 infotainment, integrated into the dashboard, fast and responsive, and a super good screen. On the other hand I hate the new BMW infotainment setups. Just one big giant ugly ipad glued to the dashboard.
