i’m new to reddit and this sub so i have no clue how much this has been talked about but- in that one episode during the oscar arch where bojack accused diane of “fetishizing her own sadness”, isnt it implied that he’s projecting his own feelings onto diane by the writers? that specific wording was said earlier in the show by ana to bojack and i think she was right. bojack does fetishize his own sadness. and bojack knew she was right and projected those feelings onto diane. i don’t know if this is a common or agreed upon take but i still think it’s a cool thing to talk about
