14" is .3" wider and .4" taller. Both have the same thickness at .61". They are almost the same and yet 14" versions are better in every way possible. It’s a good move from Apple to finally abandon the old 2016 MBP design.

Now To answer OPs question… You are in the minority… If enough folks like you were buying, it wouldn’t have been discontinued
