I think it’s time we acknowledge we need a legit big. A versatile big. We chose to opt for a guard/wing - Alperen Sengun for Tre Mann. Jalen Duren for Ousmane Dieng. Dereck Lively for Cason Wallace.

Bertans, Poku, and Dieng are tall but play more of a wing. JWill and JRE are both undersized. Only JWill survived the crunch.

Kenny is our other good big but he’s also only 6’7.

It’s not like the league is of shortage of versatile bigs. Bam, Mobley, JJJ, Siakam are the star types. But there are also cheap versatile bigs out there.
